When and where

The 27th ECVS Annual Scientific Meeting takes place 5-7 July 2018 at Athenaeum InterContinental in Athens, Greece.


Registration

Registration for the ECVS Annual Scientific Meeting is open. Please log on to 'Your ECVS' to register.

The ECVS congress is open to everybody. We are happy to welcome all interested parties.
If you do not have a login, please contact the ECVS Office.

On-site registrations will be charged with an extra fee of 30 €.

Proceedings

The congress proceedings can be accessed via the 'your ECVS' area (go to Annual Scientific Meeting in the menu on the left, and you will find the link to the proceedings at the top of your registration confirmation). A full PDF download is also available.


Congress App

The congress app for iPhone and Android is now available for download. Search for ECVS in the App Store or Google Play and download ECVS Athens 2018 to your device.

The app puts your personal schedule right there at your fingertips and provides you with always the latest programme updates, extra information, an interactive map for easy navigation around the congress centre and the chance to connect with other delegates. You are encouraged to rate speakers and sessions and leave comments using the app's feedback functions.


Accommodation

The congress takes place at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Athens. The room allotment is fully taken up. Please contact the office for additionally available rooms at the InterContinental.

Staff registration: Please register all exhibition staff via the registration platform until 27 June 2018. A small number of rooms has become available at the Athenaeum InterContinental. If you need additional rooms for staff members, please contact the ECVS Office.

Friday, 6 July 2018 - Day tour (08:00-16:00) to Ancient Corinthia and wineries of Nemea, 70,- € / person

incl. entrance fees, excl. lunch, minimum 20 persons*)

The full-day wine tour starts early in the morning from Athens. You will be taken you on the coastal road that drives along the Saronic Gulf towards Corinth. After an hours’ drive you will reach Ancient Corinth.

Ancient Corinth was a very important state city during the ancient years, the richest and most famous port of the ancient world, something evident even today from its remains. Ancient remains include important monuments, such as the Ancient Agora and the Temple of Apollo, that will give you an idea of how Corinth used to be. After the visit to Ancient Corinth, the tour will take you to Nemea, where some awarded Greek wines are produced. In Nemea you will visit the archaeological site of Ancient Nemea and the Stadium of Nemea. Nemea was very much known in ancient times because of the Panhellenic Games organised in the Temple of Zeus, featuring contests in music, drama, horse riding and gymnastics. The Games and Wines of Nemea

 

Saturday, 7 July 2018, (08:00-11:00) - Athens and Acropolis Walking tour, 

47,- € / person

incl. entrance fees and transfer to starting point, excl. lunch, minimum 18 persons*)

The walking tour begins at Dionysos Restaurant. Visit the Parthenon, Erechtheion, Propylaia, Temple of Nike in Acropolis Hill. After an hour and a half visit on the Acropolis you will head on to Plaka, the picturesque old part of Athens with its colourful neighbourhoods, graphical paths full of life. You will then continue your walk through Thiseio territory and will reach Monastiraki market, which is the famous flea market of the city. Finally, after a pleasant walk through the centre of Athens, you will reach the temple of Olympian Zeus, and Hadrian‘s Arch.
