About the job
You will primarily work at the hospital’s orthopaedic department. As a veterinarian at UDS, you will also supervise veterinary and animal nursing students. There are opportunities for collaboration with researchers in our orthopaedic team at the university, as part of clinical research, as well as the opportunity to gain a specialist qualification. The clinic is equipped with a Qualisys system for objective lameness assessment. At the University hospital we have a diagnostic imaging clinic, equipped with large animal radiography, ultrasound, a 64-slice CT, 0.27 T equine standing MRI, large animal nuclear medicine including a hotlab.
If you are interested in working in other departments within UDS or the department, this can also be discussed.

Qualifications
You are a licensed veterinarian with the right to work in Sweden, and have solid experience in equine orthopaedics. It is desirable to have an ISELP certification, formal training in orthopaedics and rehabilitation such as a completed residency program within ECVSMR or obtained the diploma.
You are used to meeting animal owners in different situations. You have good communication and social skills, realize the importance of maintaining good customer contacts and treating animal owners in a professional manner. As a person, you are structured, can withstand periodic high workloads and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. You value good cooperation with colleagues, are a good team player and actively contribute to good relations within the entire faculty. You are interested in working in an environment where clinical activities meet teaching and research, as well as in creating a good learning environment for students. At the same time, you can look at the business from a commercial perspective and are results-focused. We will place great importance on your personal abilities.
