Exciting opportunity taking you to a specialist level small animal surgeon!

We are looking for a resident in small animal surgery. Within this three-year program you will be prepared to sit the ECVS diploma examination. The programme is well supervised and structured to provide comprehensive training in small animal Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgery.

Situated just outside of Munich (Hergolding), FRONTIER Veterinary Specialists is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art veterinary referral hospital that provides the latest in cutting-edge, specialist treatments for cats and dogs, supported by a rehabilitation and physiotherapy facility.

We are a referral only hospital and do not see first opinion cases and no out of hours first opinion emergencies.

We offer specialist care in Soft Tissue Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery (including interventional radiology), Orthopaedics, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Radiology (on site with two residents) and Anaesthesia.

FRONTIER has invested in cutting-edge technologies to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases or injuries. These include a 1.5T high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and a 128-slice computerized tomography (CT) suite on-site. Additionally, a direct digital radiography system and fluoroscopy unit are available. We have an Olympus flexible endoscopy unit (with all necessary endoscopes) and an Arthrex rigid endoscopy unit (with all necessary endoscopes for performing otoscopy, rhinoscopy, cystoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and thoracoscopy). Furthermore, we possess an EMG unit for our neurological investigations. For Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic surgery we have all the necessary kits; Synthes and Arthrex (TPLO and Ortoline).

 What You Need to Join Our Team?

*German approbation 

*For non-native German speakers, evidence of competency in speaking German, as determined by a formal qualification in German (such as Goethe B2) is necessary to be able to apply for your approbation

*Prior completion of a rotating Internship or minimum of two years’ experience in general practise

*Ideally finished or started publication

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

*The capacity for multitasking and a flexible work approach

*Dedicated mind set, eager to achieve the requirements of an ECVS training programme
